Plan. Succeed. High School Edition is a series of in-person workshops for Houston Area high school students to develop the essential skills and mindsets essential to success in high school, college and beyond.
Rising Freshman Workshop
July 30 - August 3; 11am-6pm (workshop is capped at 12 students)
Cost: $1,000 includes lunch and materials
Plan. Succeed. Freshman will learn academic skills that will help them effectively manage the workload of high school.
- How to prioritize their time
- How to find an organizational system that works for them
- How all of the pieces fit together (the four year path to college)
- Effective study habits
They'll also learn the invaluable soft-skills that lay the foundation for a lifetime of success:
- How to set and commit to a vision for their time in high school
- How to invest others, namely teachers and parents, in that vision
- How to advocate for themselves
- How to mind and reflect on their personal development

Rising Sophomore Workshop
July 9 - 11; 11am-6pm (workshop is capped at 12 students)
Cost: $600 includes lunch and materials
Plan. Succeed. Sophomores will learn academic and personal skills to help them focus on their own development in light of their college dreams.
- Reflect on lessons learned freshman year
- How to balance their weak areas by working with peers
- How to resolve conflicts with teachers and other adults
- How to mind your personal brand
- How to define their core values and interests and connect them to future goals
- How to choose extracurriculars and learning experiences that align with their core values and interests (summer/internships)
- How their GPA, course selection and PSAT fit in the college process

- How to operate with urgency and discipline
- Build a final college list of target schools based on academic, social and financial fit
- Create their personalized college application plan with deadlines and action plan to complete applications
- How to stay organized throughout the process
- Complete two iterations of personal statement
- Complete draft of common application essay
- Begin initial planning for supplements
- Receive writing feedback in a workshop setting
- Practice interviewing
- Identify potential scholarship opportunities

Joining Crumbine Ed in January 2018 after years of working closely with families as the prepare for, apply, and transition to college. She uses her experience in education, college access, and college admissions to the advantage of her students. Naureen holds a B.S in Biology and Health: Science, Society & Policy from Brandeis University. She is an award-winning educator whose students have matriculated to some of our nation's finest Ivy-League Universities, Liberal Arts Colleges, and National Research Institutions. Naureen is based in Houston, and works with students locally and throughout the US to help them select post-secondary options that are the best fit and match for their unique personalities.
